Everyone wants flawless skin, right? But sometimes putting on too much make up in an attempt to achieve flawlessness leaves you looking cakey and overdone. I always use foundation to make my skin even and looking like porcelain (or so I believe) but it is hard to strike that perfect balance between getting enough coverage and looking perfectly natural. I am dying to try the new Pür Rocks from Pür Minerals. Am a bit sick of my pale pale wintery skin (don't worry, I never tan, I just fake it with products like this!) It looks like a box of chocolate pebbles and packs a strong antioxidant rich vitamin E formulation that gives a pinkish bronze glow to your cheeks, eyes and lips. I am thinking this will be good for me in the summer months when I travel, I can get the tiny little round plastic containers at drugstores and just take a pebble or two with me each trip. I am pasty pale right now and can't wait to start using all my faux bronzing products to get that bronzed glow again. I read that many of us are now vitamin D deficient due to lack of sun exposure and that a healthy dose of 15 minutes without sunscreen a day is all we need to get enough D but the thought frightens me. I've been taught for a lifetime the evils of sun damage and can not remember the last time I sat in the sun without SPF 30-60, a hat, and a beach umbrella. So I will stick with faking it for now-- I just got the Bronze Goddess collection from Estee Lauder and am hoping I will look like the model above in a few weeks. I just got this all inclusive palette and can now retire my entire drawer full of make up. Ok, maybe not the entire drawer but at least my life has been simplified quite a bit.
