Agadir Argan Oil Hair Treatment: Treat Yourself
By Beauty Snob Kelly

Agadir Argan Oil Hair Treatment

This is one of the best Frugal Snob buys because even at a low cost, there’s no compromising. I’ve used treatment oils at every price point, and I can honestly say that Agadir takes the #1 spot. I bought it at the drugstore on a particularly bad hair day (my frizzy ends, as you can imagine, just get worse in this dry weather), and in just one treatment, my ends were immediately sleek and tamed. The soft, lustrous feel made me a little OCD – I couldn’t stop touching my hair! I’m not crazy about the scent, but that’s just a matter of opinion. It’s not bad – just not something I would use for the sake of the smell.

I’ve used this only three times, but already, it’s completely changed my hair. Everyone’s biggest fear about using oil is that it will be, well, oily. Not a problem here! It doesn’t make my hair feel heavy at all, and it’s supposed to work just as well for every other hair type. After I condition (I still use my regular conditioner just to give it an extra oomph), I apply the oil pretty liberally to my ends. Twice I’ve styled it with just a blow dryer (the oil reduces drying time by up to 50%!) and once with my curling iron – this left my hair shiny, bouncy, and so, so soft. There’s even a spray version (on Amazon for $14.50) that’s easier to apply and manage. My ends look healthy and lay flat now – unlike their natural state of sticking out like straw! Hair treatments are essential if you have over dyed/dried/straightened hair, but everyone can benefit from them. The results are immediate gratification! On Amazon from $8.99 (2.25 oz.) to $14.94. (4 oz.).

I love products with argan oil! I am a huge advocate of using types of hair & skin care that are natural. Like you mentioned, I was hesitant at first because I was nervous that the oil would leave my hair oily. Definitely not the case! There are so many benefits to using argan oil on your hair (and skin). After trying out a few different brands containing argan oil, my favorite is Defend from purelementnaturals.com. I am extremely impressed on how much nicer my hair feels! I’ve been using it for a couple months now and am glad I decided to give using oil based products a try!
