Kerastase Elixir Ultime Imperial
By Beauty Snob Sharon
November 21, 2012

I’ve been using Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime Imperial ($54) for the last 4-5 months (a little goes a very long way), and I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite hair products of all times. Not only does it have an amazing, clean, fresh scent that won’t interfere no matter what fragrance you are wearing, but despite being an oil it’s super lightweight. I have very thin hair, but it’s long and I have a lot of it (unfortunately not in the front side area of my head, but that’s another story….no more tight ponytails for me!), so it’s very important that I only use hair products that won’t weight my hair down. Elixir goes on fantastically – your hands might be oily after working it into your towel dried hair, but your hair won’t look like it has a trace of product in it.

I usually towel dry or lightly blow dry my hair and then work a dollop of the oil into my hair with my fingers. It helps get rid of knots and makes my styling process infinitely easier. I use the oil for colored hair (Imperial), but they’ve also got Moringa Immortel (for damaged hair,) Rose Millenaire (for fine & sensitized hair) and the original, which was created for all hair types. Check them all out here.

We love the new elixirs! The gold was amazing on it’s own but the new pink, purple and green are wonderful as well!!
