I was doing a purple eye all summer long and I still love it so much, I’m ready to step it up for fall. It’s time to go darker and deeper. Enter Tom Ford! His eye shadows are super-saturated so you get a very dramatic look if you want (or just lighten your touch for a paler effect). Smoky eyes of black and gray can get a bit harsh, not to mention raccoon-like several hours in, but you can achieve the same mysterious feel with shades of violet and purple, but with an elevated, elegant spin.

This compact palette gives you the wide spectrum of shades, from light and airy to rich, almost-black, so you can get as scandalous or innocent as you like, depending on your mood. The Tom Ford quads are incredible. The colors can be applied from nearly tranlucent to very deep, you can layer them flawlessly, the quads provide a rather large square of each color — no skimping; they are smooth and don’t flake on your cheek, they last(!). Expensive? Maybe not considering the quality and how long they last.
