It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that my award for best in haute couture show goes to Chanel’s sweet yet strong faces. Their Creative Director, Peter Philips, rarely disappoints, and for the vintage-inspired collection, glimmering with sparkly tights, metallic silver-woven tweeds, and dégradé sequins, he delivered beauty to match the grounded-meets-ethereal feel.
While the doll-like cheeks glowed with rosy innocence, courtesy of Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Initiale (at Neiman Marcus for $43), it was clearly all about the eyes.
Here’s what you need to recreate those otherworldly lids for yourself:
- Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Furtif (at Nordstrom for $28.50).
- Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil in Clair (at Amazon for $38.43).
- Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir (on Amazon for 50.99).
- Recourbe Cils de Chanel Precision Eyelash Curler (at Nordstrom for $34)
Get yummy pink lips with Le Crayon Levres Precision Lip Definer in Natural (at Neiman Marcus for $29) and Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Evanescente (available in September 2012).
As for those eye-catching manicures, Philips framed Le Vernis Nail Coulour in May (at Nordstrom for $26) with Silver (which is limited edition from Spring 2007).
