Chanel Roses Collection: A Sign of the Times
By Beauty Snob Tina
May 4, 2012

A change in the seasons means all kinds of wardrobe switches, but one of the most exciting is always the release of the new Chanel nail colors! I can’t remember the last time the brand let us down; with Peter Philips at the helm of creative direction, the inspirations are as eclectic as the rainbow of hues. This season, the muse is on the traditional side: the Roses collection takes a cue from spring petals.

The names of the latest lacquers sound a little threatening…in a really appealing way. Running the gamut of girly shades, one thing is clear: Chanel has announced that you should be thinking pink. While Attraction is a frosty white that isn’t exactly ground-breaking, the three other hues make for a lovely bouquet. Frisson reminds of glittering cupcake icing and coral Distraction is a sweet update of Orange Fizz. But it’s Tentation, an intense fuchsia with just a hint of sparkle, that’s bound to become the cult hit.

Check out Chanel’s new video here. Directed by Ruth Hogben (who has made films for Louis Vuitton and Gareth Pugh), it uses sign languages to showcase the shades.

Oh my I love the new Chanel sign language video! It’s so creative. I also love these polishes – I would use all of them on one hand for a rosy gradient mani.
