NARS is taking us on vacation this summer! From Naples to Argentina to the Guadeloupean archipelago to Russia and beyond, their latest hues are inspired by exotic locales and their natural opulence. Summer is about carefree beauty, and their latest, ranging from earthy, in-depth rich to the seriously shimmering, evokes a nonchalant mood. Nars was also going for versatility – between a mood that is “delicate and innocent” and “fun and edgy.”
For the eyes, Ramatuelle (named after a village in the South of France), an Eye Shadow Trio of silver and icy peach and matte apricot makes for an easy blend. For night, switch over to the Caribbean-inspired Marie-Galante, an iridescent duo of glistening orchid and dark oceanic blue.
Keep it simple with Calabria Soft Touch Shadow Pencil, Italian plum; Buenos Aires Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil, pale nude-beige; or Never Say Never Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, lilac rose.
Vendanges, sheer grape lipstick, Moscow Pure Matte, strawberry-red lipstick, and the burnished apricot Liberté blush are all winners whatever the season. And Trouville, seashell pink nail polish, will be a fabulous touch for bronzed skin.
Available April 15th.
Marking NARS’ first nail collab with a fashion designer, Thakoon couldn’t be a better choice. He’s already known for his spellbinding way with color. I’m thrilled NARS has helped translate his memorable shades to nail lacquers! Inspired by the vivid colors he saw firsthand in Indian spice markets, it’s a cornucopia of uplifting colors, one more radiant than the next. Whether frisky (Koliary, cyan blue, and Amchoor, bright yellow), soothing (Kutki, powder blue), or vibrant (Anardana, azalea pink, Ratin Jot, orchid purple, and Lal Mirchi, mandarin red), these are tempting me to get daring with color this season!
Available May 1st at NARS for $18 each. Lal Mirchi Nail Polish is only available at the NARS’ Bleecker Street boutique in NYC.
