Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo:
By Beauty Snob Kelly
March 16, 2012

You know how I feel about my Shu Uemura facial cleansing oil. Literally, cannot live without it. So of course, I am going to try their Cleansing Oil Shampoo. It’s the same idea, nothing cuts oil like oil, right? The power of oil for cleansing cannot be overstated. But the biggest benefit is that it does not leave you stripped and dry. I have been over-styling my hair like crazy so the ends are getting a bit crispy. I needed something that will strip away dirt, oils and build up of products, yet leave my hair healthy and hydrated. This shampoo has oils but it is not really oily like the facial oil, it does in fact lather. It leaves the hair looking like you’ve just used a conditioning treatment. I followed up with the Full Shimmer Illuminating Conditioner, which is so lightweight I felt like nothing was happening, but as soon as I rinsed I can tell my hair has transformed from crispy to silky.

Believe it or not, blow drying actually made my hair shinier and softer. Of course, I followed up with more torturous styling – the curling iron. Fabulous bounce and waves can only be achieved with naturally healthy hair, gone are the crunchy ends that didn’t do the curls justice. Dead ends just don’t give life to curls. Now I have manageable and healthy manes, thanks to my new secret weapon. At Shu Uemura for $55.
