A bold brow is a sign of youth. So what is a bold brow laced with grey sequins; a sign of eternal youth? It looks more like it’s from another planet than a place of eternal youth to me. I enjoyed the models’ looks – pale, matte foundation with neutral lips and lavender/taupe shadow that framed the face from lids to jaw – juxtaposed with eyebrows laced in stones, crystals and sequins. And I love Chanel, but can’t get into this bedazzled brow in real life.
For the runway, I loved this unique approach to making up. This glam, almost ethereal brow worked because the rest of the facial features were downplayed. But for our day-to-day, we should just remember the goal is to look pretty, not alien-ish. No matter how creative we’re feeling, embellishing our brows probably isn’t the best street style.
