Talika Takes Care of My Lashes: Back to Nature
By Beauty Snob Tina
December 16, 2011

As much as I love my mink lashes, I don’t think I will do it again. They are starting to shed (a normal process for lashes) and I am worried my lashes are going to be damaged when this is all over. I decided to start on a lash-conditioning regime as recommended by Talika for lash extension users (Jennifer Aniston says she uses Talika in lieu of mascara).  Talika’s Oil-Free Lash Conditioning Cleanser ($24) nourishes and strengthens your lashes as it gently removes eye make up. With silk proteins and cornflower extract in a non-grease base, it is natural and safe for your lashes (and lash extensions)– which is why I’m using it. It even removes waterproof mascara though I am not using mascara with mine.

Talika Lipocils Expert Lash Treatment ($55) contains natural ingredients (St. John’s Wort, horse chestnut, Witch Hazel, and apple!) to stimulate lash growth (which I’m sure I’ll need).  It promises to lengthen and thicken your lashes in 28 days but I’m just hoping to keep my lashes!  It comes with two applicators – an angled sponge to brush along the base of your lashes, and a brush to condition the strands. And this one is safe for blue and green eyes. So, for our light-eyed friends, don’t worry: your eyes will stay light!

I’m ready to embrace my own lashes – and hope they will be healthy again after following the Talika regimen! What about you– have you had lash extensions before?  Share your experiences please!
