Cover Up Your Tears: Eye Products that do the Trick
By Beauty Snob Sharon
December 13, 2011

Last week was one of the worst weeks of my life – full of crying, stress, and more drama-rama than I can even now, one week later, wrap my head around. Needless to say I was in tears for a big chunk of it making it a high probability that I would be walking around town looking like dead woman walking! Luckily despite all the stress I was going through I didn’t give up on my skincare routine and thanks to Dermalogica Total Eye Care with SPF 15 ($37) and La Prairie’s new eye gel ($105) my eyes were actually not that puffy. Honestly I was shocked every morning last week because I thought I’d be waking up to a hugely over-sized puffy eyes and I didn’t. I ALWAYS have balloon eyes the day after crying even if it was just a few minutes of tearing so that not happening is a true testament do both of these eye gems. I’ve been using the Dermalogica one by night and the La Prairie one by day, but I think the key is to apply some product right after you have a dramatic moment so don’t be afraid to dab a little of either mid-day. The La Prairie product has a gel consistency, while Dermalogica is a cream so I just went with my of-the-moment preference.

Since I already went in-depth into the La Prairie cream back in April I won’t say much more about that one, but I’ll add one note about the Dermalogica one. In addition to fighting puffiness its got an orange-y tint to it to help diminish dark circles and it works double-duty as a chemical-free sunscreen.
