Founded eleven years ago by makeup artist, Jerrod Blandino, and cosmetics expert, Jeremy Johnson, this indie beauty line is the choice of many celebs, including Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Sienna Miller. Too Faced understands the concept of extreme beauty – and extreme conditions, proven by their innovative products. The latest of which made a big impression on me when I heard it was 122 degrees in the Midwest last week. Of course, my first thought was, “How does one keep makeup on in that kind of heat?!” Now there’s a sizzle-proof solution.

Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer ($30) with Vitamins A and C, mulberry extract, and even retinol is a unique makeup primer. It not only eliminates pores, but also hydrates and detoxifies your skin. It can be used under a foundation or bronzer, or just by itself. Either way, the result is flawless skin. Its companion, Primed and Poreless SPF 20 Bronze Tint ($30) does the same great job, but adds a sun-kissed glow and sun protection. Both ensure that whatever other makeup you apply, it will stay put in even the hottest, most humid climates.

Shadow Insurance ($18) is an eye shadow primer with a silicone base that acts as a protective layer to keep it from fading, streaking, or bleeding when sweat is added to the mixture! It also evens out skin tone and intensifies any eye shadow. And, of course, it comes in fabulous formulas: Glitter Glue, Candlelight, and Lemon Drop. Your eye makeup will stay fresh, whether you do or not!

Lash Injection Mascara ($21), with special 3-D lash-coating technology, makes your lashes looks as though you’ve applied extensions. And it actually boasts being “industrial strength!” It seriously will not come off without active measures, as in strong eye-makeup remover.

So even though melt-proofing may be the last thing on your mind in the throes of heat (no pun intended), it was certainly the first thing I thought of. Lucky for me, Too Faced thought of it before I did!
