MAC “Skinsheen” Leg Spray: Spray, Streak, Smooth, Sheen
By Beauty Snob Tina

As many of you know by now, each summer I spray my suntan on (I do sit in the sun, with a 100+ SPF hat and 30+ SPF sunscreen on occasion). I’ve tried everything from lotions to potions in search of that perfect fake tan. Along the way, I’ve endured a few mishaps – such as arriving to a video shoot with Diane von Furstenberg with streaky legs (don’t ask).

So this season, I’m trying out MAC‘s “Skinsheen” Leg Spray, sent to courtesy of MAC. I got medium-dark and dark and tried each on a different leg. I was amazed at the difference. With the dark, I turned a browner shade; medium dark was subtler (and best for my pale complexion). My only complaint is that it’s translucent, which means you have no idea where you’ve sprayed by accident. The colored sprays and lotions at least let me know where it’s going. But I have to say, for a do-it-yourself tan, it’s not bad! It has a natural tint to it and best of all, it doesn’t streak (Diane, can we take another meeting?).

Here are my tips: Use it after showering and shaving legs. Sit on the floor with an old, preferably colored, towel. Extend your legs straight in front of you. Spray down the center of your shin and massage outward, upward, and then downward. Bend leg, massage towards the back, staying clear of the back knee area. Dry completely before getting up.

You can tell I’ve really mastered this one – and for the sun-kissed glow it gives, it’s worth it. Summer, here I come! At Nordstrom for $26.50.

Great review, I will have to remember this one for when I want to use a self tanner. Do you exfoliate when before you use your tanners?

I am a brown skin black woman that has been looking for a product that would cover stretch marks and even out skin tone on my legs. Do you think a product like this would work?

What about your feet? That is such a tricky area… esp if you don’t have perfectly soft skin there.

Did you try it on the rest of your body too?

I have found with this product ylthats feet are not an issue. It blends perfectly with your legs and doesn’t leave that weird extra tan spots around the cracks and creases of your feet/toes. I definitely recommend
