My dear friend Judy (from Atlantishome.com ) is the ultimate fresh faced beauty but found herself in a make up rut.  A former model turned designer turned fashion blogger, Judy was tired of the chalky make up she’d been using that did nothing to enhance her natural beauty!  I volunteered to give her a make over last month and took her to the Bobbi Brown counter at Neiman Marcus (the SAs didn’t know what to make of me as I took over the counter and gave her a make over with them anxiously looking over my shoulder!).

I knew Judy wanted an easy regime that gave her dewy skin and a youthful glow but that didn’t look like she was wearing too much make up.  And who better to turn to than Bobbi Brown, the woman who invented the “no make up” make up look?  I chose a few key products and voila, she looked 10 years younger with this 5 minute routine!

1. Corrector ($22) and Creamy Concealer. ($22)

Corrector- I started using Bobbi’s Corrector this summer and it’s changed everything!  I layer it under the concealer and dark circles are virtually undetectable.  It also works miracles for any spots on the face.  Best used with the Creamy Concealer.  I chose Light Bisque corrector for Judy.

Concealer- “Warm Ivory” concealer was perfect for Judy’s alabaster skin.  I lightly applied it in the inner corner of her under eye area (stay away from the far corners as it will settle into the lines!) which made her look well rested.

2. Blush ($22.00)

All fresh faced beauties need a pop of bright color to give them a flush like they just played outdoors.  I like “Pale Pink” and used it on the apple of Judy’s cheeks (smile and apply on the roundest part of your cheeks).  It gave her an instant youthful appearance!

3. Treatment Lip Shine SPF 15 ($22.00)
Dry lips were also a concern for Judy but she didn’t want too much gloss.  The Treatment Lip Shine has spf 15, is ultra moisturizing (with cocoa and shea butters) and gave just a tiny hint of color and shine.

4. Highlighter Pen ($32.00)

I call this my secret weapon.  Everyone thinks I have naturally glowy skin but really, it’s this!  A quick swipe along the top of the cheek bone (above your blush and towards the temple) and you’ll glow with a subtle luminescence without looking greasy.  Judy’s daughter Jane (of Seaofshoes.com) loved it on her so much she got one, too.  We got the neutral “Opal” shade (it’s the one I use– pearlized and looks great on everyone!).

And the final result– doesn’t she look gorgeous?! All it took was a few new products and tricks of the trade (use the highlighter at the bow of your lips to make them look fuller).

She has such a sweet, gentle spirit that comes through on her blog. She was beautiful before the makeover, but you made her shine even more. And you are right – the corrector is the best.
