Talk about thinking outside the box! In celebration of the August 13 release of the new Sony Pictures film “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts, Fresh has created a fragrance collection by the same name based on the best-selling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert.
The trio of offerings from Fresh launches on July 15, and was truly a labor of love. The scents each convey a different and distinct emotion–one that Fresh hopes consumers will resonate with some chapter of their own lives. In short, these are emotionally-charged fragrances.
Eat, for example, has stronger top notes of Italian lemon, basil and bergamot; a heart of plum, red current and rose, and a drydown of caramel, meringue and vanilla. I don’t know about you, but one whiff of this scent had me hungry and my appetite going! It should come as no surprise that this sweet scent indulges in Italy’s gorgeous array of desserts and wines.
Pray, inspired by India’s serene sunsets, fresh soil and traces of incense and spices, has top notes of elemi, pink pepper and juniper berry; middle notes of incense, peony and rose, and a drydown of patchouli, amber and musk.
Lastly there’s my favorite: Love. It’s bright, sun-kissed and like a day on the beach what with its top notes of bergamot, red currant and mango blossom; a heart of tiare and dewy jasmine, and a drydown of sandalwood, vetiver and velvet amber.
Complementary candles modeled after each scent are also available–perfect hostess gifts!
As for the striking packaging, Alina Roytberg, Fresh co-founder and creative director, designed the fabric-inspired shells: Eat’s is in shades of yellow; Pray (Roytberg’s favorite) is rendered in shades of pink and Love’s predominant color scheme is blue.
$32 for a 1-oz. eau de parfum spray; $45 for each candle, available for a limited time at Fresh boutiques nationwide and at Fresh.com
