A Beautiful Life: Soy-Based Polishes + Remover

user-pic

A Beautiful Life is a new line of polishes created using all natural ingredients. They've also got a soy nail polish remover infused with citrus extracts (it smells like grapefruit!).

Both the polishes ($12) and the remover ($20) are free of the DBP, Toulene, and Formaldehyde, chemical compounds, and carcinogens commonly found in many polishes and removers on the market today. The polish collection has 12 shades (both natural and bolder shades), which come in recyclable packaging. I'm currently sporting the Rockstar shade which is a high-shine metallic that I like because it looks blue in some lights and purple in others.
With a top and bottom coat, my nails were chip-free for about 5 days (typical length for me). It's not the colors or the chip-free claim that A Beautiful Life has that make this line worthy of buying, it's the ingredients. Like candles, many people don't realize all the toxic chemicals that are in most drugstore polishes!

Always make sure your polishes are 3 free (DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde).

  • What are the ingredients in this nail polish and remover?

  • You are so right! I hope more people become knowledgeable about toxic beauty products, including nail polishes. Thanks for letting me know about the A Beautiful Life line...I am always looking to try out new, safer polish options.
