I am completely obsessed with Gingerbread houses, making them is my favorite thing to do each holiday with my son. We actually sign up for a class each year and are getting to be quite the pros at this! But after seeing these houses above, I realize we have much to learn!!! How adorable are these houses for sale at CharityBuzz.com ?? They are being sold to raise funds for a very deserving organization, “Women In Need”. Each house is valued at $5,000 but the bids start low at $150! The auction will go from now until November 30th. Women In Need, Inc. (WIN) provides housing, help and hope to New York City women and their families who are homeless and disadvantaged. Through comprehensive programs such as shelter, supportive permanent housing, job training, domestic violence services, alcohol and substance abuse treatment and childcare, WIN offers the tools and guidance which allow families to return to their communities and live independently.
About the project
The auction will take place starting November 9th and will end on Monday, November 30th. Houses have been designed by Sean Avery; Lidia Bastianich; the Beckham family; Halle Berry; Mary J. Blige; Chris “Ludacris” Bridges; Bobbi Brown; Cast of the Broadway Musical Hair; Cast of the Broadway play Race; Cast of the Broadway play Superior Donuts; Sean “Diddy” Combs; Oscar de la Renta; Cheyenne Jackson; Donna Karan; Monica Rich Kosann; Dylan Lauren; Richard Leach for Park Avenue Autumn; Deborah Lloyd for Kate Spade; Jennifer Lopez; Isaac Mizrahi; Moby; Debra Messing; Josie Natori; George Rodrigue; Cameron Silver for Decades; Justin Timberlake & Trace Ayala; Today Show Anchors; Diane Von Furstenberg; Vera Wang. Saks Fifth Avenue will feature the houses in their Manhattan flagship windows from November 5th – 9th. The auction will launch at a by-invitation-only event hosted by Park Avenue Autumn. Event co-hosts include Myla Lerner & Larry Kramer; Deborah Roberts & Al Roker; and Karin & Steve Sadove.
