Secret obsession: Bumpits

I don't watch much tv and had never head of Bumpits until I saw it at Target a couple of weeks ago.  I picked it up out of curiosity so I could review and I am now secretly obsessed with it!  Of course all my girlfriends knew about it from the cheesy commercials and made fun of me but what did they all do the next morning after we went out?  They all ran to Target to get their own Bumpits!  It always takes the adventurous one (me) to convince all the other girls that it's okay to be a dork.  I use the medium size (the large is so ridiculous I gave it to my son to use as a weapon for his Transformers) at the crown of my hair and it gives it a nice but subtle lift!  Very sexy and Brigitte Bardot-ish.  The little one is good for days I pull the top of my hair back or for my ponytails.  Have you tried this?  Tell me what you think! Bumpits Hair Volumizing Leave-In Inserts at drugstore.com for $9.99.

  • I was staring at them for 5 minutes while in the checkout line at Target, but did not buy. I totally need a lift for the pony tail/just finished with my trainer days. Post some pics of yourself.

    xoxo

  • Can we see a picture of you with it on???

  • I saw these on the commercial the other day. I thought to myself, that is such a New Jersey hair accessory. Now that you way they work, I am goin to have to look into them. Thanks for the post!

  • How do you get them to stay in and also not be visible??? I really love having height in my hair but wasn't sure this would work.

  • Bought mine at CVS. I got it to use the smallest one in the front like a 50s swoop thing. Ummmm, don't know how to do it but I know it involves teasing & hairspray.

  • I have these, have had them for months, but never used them... I dont know what I am doing wrong, but they feel like they are going to A) fall out of my hair or B) Be visible...
I wish I wouldnt have wasted my $$

  • I'm in my early 20s and I've seen girls wearing them at clubs, etc. I think the bumpits make them look like they're wearing bad wigs (althought that could also be the bad dye-jobs that most of them have).

  • It states that you insert it and tease the hair, then lay the hair over the Bumpit, right? I figured that if you could tease your hair properly in the first place (meaning, not have it look like a rat nest) that you don't really need the Bumpit. I mean, if it looks like a rat nest before the use of a Bumpit, then I don't think it will really help.
