I feel like I have strange skin. It's dry on the surface, but oil underneath. So right after I wash my face, it feels so tight it almost hurts, and then later on in the day it is a shine fest. I've tried using heavy creams and it just makes me shine so much sooner, and gel lotions that feel just as dry as when I had nothing. I was looking for a new day moisturizer and my SA told me I should try the new Fresh Soy Face Cream. It's like the perfect moisturizer for my combination skin! It makes me feel fully moisturized without having a greasy feeling, and I have less shine at the end of the day. And of course it has that wonderful, subtle almost rosy smell to it that most Fresh products. This is a great moisturizer for any type of skin this coming winter and is pretty reasonably price for $38 if I may say so myself. Do you have weird combo skin, too? Tell me what you use!

Your skin sounds exactly like my skin, it feels really tight but if I use a heavy cream it will not sink in and I'll be extremely shiny (moreover my chin breaks out). Hence I need something light but highly moistruizing. I will definitely try this cream. I hope it works well in the humid environment I live in....
Any other recommendations for a successful daily skin care routine for a strange combination skin like this?
Love your blog,

Maja - I use masks and exfoliants like crazy. Natura Bisse's Extreme Glyco Peel religiously, and Fresh's Black Tea Perfecting Mask. And my cleanser is from BareMineral's RareMinerals Skincare line called the Renew and Reveal Cleanser. I love the cleanser because it helps balance my skin and gently exfoliates with no chemicals or soap detergents.
Jeanie - I saw Aveda made a skincare line but have always been weary because I think of hair with them. And I've heard alot of great things about Korres, gotta check it out the next time I'm at Sephora. What's your favorite product??
omg! I have exactly the same skin type as yours.
Aveda's Botanical kinetics line works great for me... have been using it for couple years now.
I've recently discovered another skin care line that I loooooooove. It's a greek brand, Korres. Yogurt line is the best, wild rose cream is good too :)
