I have never been a fan of vanilla scented anything (though I do love vanilla bean ice cream!), the fragrances have always been too sickeningly sweet for my palate and who wants to smell like a dessert all day long (don’t answer that!)? Jo Malone, however, just might finally make me a fan. The latest in its fabulous fragrances is Vanilla & Anise– white florals mixed with a hint of clove is a lovely and delicate scent. Inspired by the valleys of Madagascar and captures an extraordinary, fleeting moment when the rare purple vanilla orchid blossoms at day break. It’s a warm scent that has a spicy lingering fragrance of bergamot, neroli and star anise. Truly yummy! 1 oz for $55 or 3.4 oz for $100 at Jo Malone here.
