I have finally found the miracle lash serum! Despite all the naysayers, Latisse really delivers-- I've used it for 12 weeks now and my lashes have doubled in length and thickness. I have not experienced any kind of side effects and my eyes are brown anyway so the slight chance of retina darkening does not really concern me. What I am concerned with is the maintenance of it, you have to use this continually or your lashes will return to its former puny size. The single dose brushes are also wasteful not to mention hard and itchy when used on the eyelid. I've taken to using a Shu Uemura eye liner brush to apply instead. Jump to see my results!Latisse review and rating from scale of 1-4, 4 being best.
Effectiveness: 4-- Lashes are twice as long after 12 weeks, darker and thicker.
Stinging: 2-- This will sting if you get it into your eyes. Be careful!
Side Effects: 4-- NONE! I have not noticed any darkening of eye area or iris of eyes.
Applicator: 1- Again, wasteful in so many ways. First, the bristles are long and scratchy and absorb too much of the Latisse solution-- use one of your eyeliner brushes instead and wash it nightly. They give you 60 brushes, one per eye per night. Lasts 30 days. All that paper packaging and plastic is such a waste! No wonder it costs $130.
I am going to stop using Latisse for a couple of weeks and start another product called MD Lash Factor, look for the review in a couple of months!
In the meantime, ask your doctor for a prescription for Latisse and you will see a difference in mere weeks!

Before Latisse! Years of lash curlers (heated no less!), fake lashes and mascara took its toll on my lashes.

I'm happy to hear that this really works! However, as someone with natural emerald green eyes, I simply don't have the courage to even try it.
For now, I'll stick with my five (yes, 5!) coats of mascara!
I've been using it too and it works. My lashes are longer and thicker. I saw a difference after a few weeks. You should use the brushes in the kit for hygeniec reasons. If you have any kind of eye infection, using a non-sterile brush and sharing brushes between eyes could allow the transmission of the infection to the non-infected eye.
It's best to follow the instructions and simply gently brush the solution along the lash line and be careful not to squeeze too much on the brush. Using an ample amount will lessen the possibility of getting a lot of the solution into your eye.
I have noticed some darkening of my skin under my lower eye, but this is not a big deal
Why would anyone spend that kind of money? I use Lumigan eyedrops, at $16 a bottle. lasts for two months. Beautiful results on eyelashes, eyebrows. Actually this Latisse bottle is a rip off Lumigan's bottle. Looks the same, even the aqua coloured screw top.
Castor oil works perfectly too. $6 a bottle, lasts for months.
Hi Sus,
When you say you use Lumigan eye drops, can you explain how? Just on the lashes?
And, are there no concerns about side effects, as they are a glaucoma treatment?
Thanks...very interested!
Ruth
Latisse has been amazing for me - 9 weeks of use. The lashes of my dreams!...I got it from an M.D backed site at www.yourlatisse.com for only $89/bottle. These guys are great..
It's not your retina that could be darkened. It's the IRIS. The retina is at the back of the eye. The iris is the colored part of the eye.
