First it was black, then it was gray, then it was taupe, and now it's blue. Blue -- from light to dark -- seems to be EVERYWHERE. It started off, a few months ago, as a nail trend, but now it has oozed its way to eye shadows and eye liners as well. We first got a hint that this was going to be a big trend come Summer/Fall when Chris Benz showed his collection in February. Benz's models wore makeup from Lancome's Fall 2009 color collection, Declaring Indigo which includes a bright blue nail polish shade called Indigo Paris and a dark blue Indigo Charm cream eye liner. No need to wait for that collection to come out though the time to get on the blue wagon is now! I personally stay away from blue shadow and nails, but I've beensporting a touch of light blue liner on my top lid fairly often lately.
Sephora Brand Midnight Blue $5 -- Sephora brand products are grossly under-rated. They have about a million eye liners to choose from and while they may not be quite as soft as ones from YSL or Estee Lauder, for $5 there is no better eye liner deal to be had. If you're not into a frugal find however, Yves Saint Laurent Easy Liner for Eyes Automatic Eyeliner 3 Easy Blue
Yves Saint Laurent Ombres Duo Lumieres Eye Shadow Duo 19 Oatmeal/Petrolium Blue
Aruba Blue, $8 -- Totally wish I could pull this off. Love this shade and I've seen so many people rock it on their toes. Unfortunately I think that a dark blue like this looks best on tanned fingers and toes:(LORAC Visual Effects Midnight Blue, $19.50 -- I've actually never used anything other than black mascara, but if I was going to try it, I'd pick-up this wand. Loving all the new wand shapes.
