My inbox is inundated with pr pitches-- some are fab finds but many (like the
Bling Strands above) are just plain weird! It is made of metallic fibers you tie-in to your own hair and will lasts for weeks. There are 24 crazy colors to choose from with an iridescent shimmer. Hair may be washed and styled as usual.
I was told Bling Strands is excellent for weddings and special occasions (like 4th of July when you want to match the fireworks). Find it
here at Blingstrands.com What do you think? Snob or Slob?
Ewwwww.... SLOB!
That's terrible, unless you're 5. If you want colors in your hair, I would prefer temporary dye. This just makes it look like you got a piece of tinsel stuck in your hair. (which, by the way, would be a lot cheaper, I'm sure)
This is a no. No no no....
AHHH that picture too funny!
SLOB!!!!!!!! Sparkly, shimmery, rainbow-hued hair is nauseating to say the least.
I don't know if "slob" is the word, but if someone in my wedding party showed up with these in the day of, they might get booted!
I've tried this product and it is cheap cheap cheap. There are some better ones out there but this brand- Wallmart day after Christmas sale gone bad.
I'm a stylist and I can keep them in stock!! I charge $20 to put in just 10 strands and my clients love them. The oldest client that wanted them in was 79. I've done them for little girl daddy daughter dates, proms, and there are subtle colors that many of my clients wear everyday. Don't knock it until you've put them in your hair. They are fabulous!!
SNOB--totally! These are perfect those who want something extra for an event or fun. My daughter is in competition cheer and we do the team for every event. You should see how they sparkle under those lights! It is incredible, and so are they. I wear a color called chocolate in my dark brown hair everyday. I get stopped all the time by people who want to know where they can get them. If you do it right, it is totally SNOB--The pictures you show don't do it justice...lighten up and know your stuff girls!
I am just a small town girl (38) and I encountered Bling Strands at a local festival. I had them put in my hair and thought that they look amazing (cooper and champagne in my dark hair). My hair wasn't screaming tinsel. In fact it was a subtle shimmer. Very tasteful.
Every where I went for the next six weeks people would stop me and ask me where I got them and where they could buy them. No "wow you look like a walking Christmas tree". I have never had so much fabulous attention....now I am hooked!
I am a snob regarding BLING STRANDS because I LOVE the product. I believe anyone that tries them would soon know what I am talking about.
Just my humble opinion.
I have to admit at first I thought slob- but once I tried them
they were great. I have worn Platinum and copper, and everyone
has stopped me. My daughter also wears them and loves them.
Um, SNOB! I first saw these on a girl a year and a half ago. I went out to lunch with a friend who had just been on a trip and picked up some bling strands. She looked amazing and I couldn't stop complimenting her. It was just so cute and funky (in a good way!) Since then, I've seen a few friends sport the bling and I am just lovin' them! There was just a thing on tv, about them ... check out the re-cap here: http://www.abc4.com/content/about_4/gtu/hot_topics/story/Reagans-Hot-Topic-Bling-Strands/-GggNXIoa0qzxOTBFs1Esg.cspx
So, if you think they are weird, have you seen them in person? That's what I thought ... ;)
SNOB. I had Bling Strands Silver tied into my hair 6 weeks ago. They're still attached. I've had over 200 people stop and inquire what what was in my hair and "where can I get them". My Stylist loves me for all of the new business I've sent her way. These are totally cool and I can change the color any time at minimal expense
I can't believe someone said that they would rather dye their hair instead of doing something fun like hair strands! These are great looking on people of all ages. Lighten up and have some fun in your life. Have someone who knows what they are doing apply them to your hair before you put them down. I think they're great.
SNOB, I have seen them on actual people and thought they where so cute. The two pictures you have up are awful and do not do them justice. I would love to do a bling birthday party and know it would be a big hit. Try them and I am sure you will get an A-plus response to how they look!
Snob. They are cute. I've seen them on quite a few people. There are some different colors, but some people like to be different. If you pick one that is a highlight to your haircolor, then it looks great.
I think they are fun - it's a lot less expensive for a mom like me to pay to have a few put in my teenage daughter's hair for a dance than to change her hair color as often as she would like (and it's easier on her hair too). It's a great way for anyone to perk up their hair with minimum effort!
