gloLip Plumper

user-pic

gm_lipplumpers_group.jpg I feel like every lip gloss I pick-up these days has some kind of plumping effect. Come summer we'll all have sexy pouts I guess! I just wrote about Celeb Plum Lips a little bit ago and I've just tried a new gloss that can give small lips a little boost. It's called gloLip Plumper and it's from glominerals. The good thing about this one is that you can easily layer it under another lip color without having to deal with a sticky mess. This is nice if you just want a plump lip while still using your favorite gloss color. I put a small dab of gloLip Plumper in 'Very Cherry' ($16) in the center of my lip and then layered my CustomBlend Prescriptives gloss over it (though they have a clear shade that would work better if you're looking to stay true to your fave gloss). The formulation is lightweight, but beware of that tingling sensation which I still have trouble dealing with! Every time I use a lip plumper I have this urge to cover my lips in Vaseline because of that tingling sensation that I always get! How do you feel about lip plumpers?

  • I love glominerals' lip products. The taste and smell is superior to most and I love the natural colors and appearance. I don't think the tingly sensation of their lip plumper is too much to handle. Definitely milder than DuWop.

  • I have yet to try a lip plumper. I'm looking for one, but am a little wary of all the tingling I hear about from everyone! What is your recommendation for a good "First Timer's" lip plumper??? My lips are already fairly full naturally so I don't need anything too dramatic.

  • PS I am also a big fan of Bourjois since living in France. They are made I believe in the same factory as Chanel. I have yet to try the 3D that is on my list. I get pretty lazy about makeup and am constantly losing my chapsticks and glosses. which I was going to try those ones with the attachments to attach to my bags.

  • Bourjois is amazing and I heard the same thing about being made in the same factory as Chanel..wouldn't be surprised...As for tingling all the ones I've tried -- gloLips, Huge Lips Skinny Hips and the one from Rodial are all the same when it comes to the sensation so I would go with the one that has the most flattering color because the sensation will likely be the same for all unfortunately:(

  • Well, I will give it a go...thanks Sharon! After I choose one I'll let you know. I think I will compare with a good non-plumper just to see the difference.

    Cheers! -Kirstein
