Black lips have been discussed on Beauty Snob before and I’ve had my reservations about them, but I have to say now that they’ve hit the Fall 2009 runways — from Rachel Roy in New York City to House of Holland in London — I’m starting to kinda like it! I still feel like I could never pull this look off myself and I think it only works if you have jet black hair (Aggy is kind of making me cringe in the picture above!). Also I don’t think it works if it’s paired with dark clothing or black nail polish — too depressing and goth! I’m curious if celebrities/public will catch-on and if this will become a street-style trend in the coming months. What do you think — would you wear black lipstick or gloss?
Strangely, I would. I actually like it better with light clothes and blonde hair with strong eye liner… It’s too “matchy-matchy” and goth with the black hair.
