Vibrate your way to lush lashes! TurboLash by Estee Lauder

turbolash.jpg I have used a lot of products in my time and tested even more for Beauty Snob but I still get excited at new and innovative products.  My friend Melinda met me for dinner last night and she brought me a little vibrating gift-- get your head out of the gutter-- it was Estee Lauder's "TurboLash" Mascara, complete with vibrator wand which requires battery.  I know what you're thinking because I thought the same, will they stop at nothing for gimmicky mascara?  But I was intrigued and immediately pulled it out to try.  The vibrating wand was kind of scary and I feared stabbing myself in the eye if I lost conrol but I got used to it and layered on coat after shiny coat of mascara on my puny lashes.  Now you know I am a Dior Show addict but it clumps no matter how many times I try combing it out.  Estee Lauder's TurboLash Mascara offers almost the same thickening formula but without the clumps!  It's amazing how with each vibrating stroke (I am fully aware of the double entendre here but stop laughing at me and focus people!) my lashes separated, lifted, curled and thickened.  It is not as lengthening as I'd like but let me tell you, ridding of my clumps is worth it!  I am actually thinking of using the wand with my Dior Show.... stay tuned for my experiment!  $30 At Estee Lauder counters everywhere or online at Esteelauder.com. (Note- please read battery installation directions carefully or ask your SA to install for you!)

  • Hi Tina

I am a complete Dior Show addict...have you tried the new Iconic Dior show with a rubbery brush...have used it a few times now but still not loving it quite as much!! My mum bought the turbo lash and I told her you've been had...its never going to be any good. I found it difficult to start with as i wasn't sure how to handle the brush but after a few goes its much easier...still not sure I would swop it for my Show!!

I notice Chanel also has a new mascara out...the brush looks intriguing...its the rubbery material then inbewteen that is the bristle type section....wow I'm not explaining myself properly I will try and find the name of this little number!!

Also, as I know you are up on trying anything new....on my trip to Harvey Nicks over the weekend I was drawn to a huge new beauty display called By Terry...apparently she is Frencha and was the lady behind the YSL Touche Eclait stick....she has a huge range of items similar to the YSL stick but has anti aging agents...antioxidants you name it it conatins it?! Has this hit state side and have you treid any of her items?!

Oh and the chanel mascara I was talking about is called Exceptionnal De Cahnel!

    L.xo

  • Hi Tina,

I am the same with mascara I have tried them all. My two favorites are YSL Faux cils mascara this has been my favorite for years. Shu uemura just came out with a new mascara called ultimate expression mascara and I love it! I use Trish Mcevoy lash builder first then either the YSL or Shu uemura mascara over top you will have long thick lashes without clumps!

  • How funny! I have the Dior Iconic Show but it's not like the original.

I attended a Chanel Beauty event in NYC and they are supposed to send me samples of the mascara so stay tuned.

I am going to wash off the vibrating wand and try it with my Dior Show this morning. Full report tomorrow :)

  • I love, love, love Dior Show. I am way to nervous to use a vibrating wand anywhere near my eyes...

    xoxo

  • haha can't wait to read about your experiment!

  • I just got this and I love it. Great idea to try the wand with Dior show. Let me know how it works!
