Though it's Samantha Jones who battles breast cancer in Sex and the City, in real life it was actress Cynthia Nixon who not only battled cancer, but became a breast cancer activist, convincing NBC to air her prime-time breast cancer special. This year Nixon began to serve as Ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
