Beauty Tip of the Day: No more brassy blondes!

grapejuicephoto.jpgI received the greatest hair tip today (not that I need it, but I am sure many of my readers are lovely blondes):

“If your blonde went brassy, you can create your own at-home violet shampoo to brighten your dull color by adding 3 tablespoons of grape juice concentrate to your favorite shampoo. It will cancel out any warm, dull tones,” says Shawn La’Yave, hair colorist and stylist at DEX New York.

3 tablespoons to an entire bottle or just the little bit you need for one use? And this doesn't dye blond hair purple?

I recently went blonde and my hair gal had me buy Aveda Blue Malva...it smells delicious, is purple colored and works like a charm! My blonde is always soft and buttery looking!

Beauty Snob Tina:

Hi there, 3 tablespoons for the entire bottle of shampoo :)
