The benefits of tea is a fairly new concept in the western world but I always knew of its healing powers from my 95 year old grandmother (who does not look a day over 60!). There are a myriad of green and white tea products currently on the market but I am excited to discover a line based on organic red tea developed by Dr. Goldfaden, a dermatologist in Florida with over 30 years of experience treating damage to the skin of his patients exposed to the harsh Florida sun. Dr. Goldfaden sought alternative approaches to combating skin problems and found it at home- his mother in law showed no sign of aging though she smoked and ate poorly and he discovered it was the red tea she was drinking from South Africa! After further study, he found out that red tea has twice the anti-oxidant powers of green tea! I am not usually one to believe in the hype but my grandmother has always attributed her lack of wrinkles to the massive amounts of tea she has drank in her lifetime so I decided to try out a few items in the line last month:
HANDS ON Handcream- $75
This is by far my favorite product in the line. My hands immediately felt like a thin veil of silk was placed over it. I use it at night and I wake up with velvety hands. The red tea scent took a bit of getting used to but at least there are no perfumes or added fragrance to the cream. This is a Beauty Snob MUST TRY- especially those who drive without white cotton gloves (yes, I have those even though I look like a Japanese taxi driver). After using this for 3 weeks, my hands are noticeably whiter and softer. It's a bit pricey but you must not neglect your hands!
Daily Scrub- $65
This is like a moisturizing scrub, the hyaluronic acid and seaweed extract will keep the skin moist while the crystals exfoliate. Don't rub too hard as the crystals will slough off dead skin cells with just a gentle circular motion.
Unline $125
This anti-aging complex is like topical botox! I am totally addicted to it after three weeks, it has 100% pure hyaluronic acid and anti-aging hexapeptides which reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I use it on the nasolabial folds and around my eyes before my nightcream.
I also like the luxe packaging. A lot of doctor brands use plastic packaging which make the products look generic, Dr. Goldfaden uses nice glass containers with real labels so the ink doesn't rub off on your hands. Order on the Goldfaden website.

Tea is also great for your heart!
I need to try that hand cream. thanks for the reviews of a what looks like a wonderful new line of products.
I tried the 'Hands On' after reading about it on JuliB.com Fantastic stuff. It's great to be able to rely on something natural like tea, rather than weird synthetic chemicals.
