This week WWD reported that Elizabeth Arden had signed a beauty licensing deal with Rocawear, the label that was co-founded by the king of hip-hop Jay-Z. I for one, am completely excited about this! Although I don’t wear much clothing from Rocawear I have a secret crush on Jay-Z and the thought of a boy I have a total crush on making beauty products is almost too much to handle. Beyonce is one lucky girl! If he’s smart (which we all know he is) he’ll sign her up to be the spokesmodel. The first fragrance is set to launch sometime in 2008.
As much as I love Jay-Z, I feel apprehensive about his urban apparel line making a cosmetic line. Kimora Lee Simmons is one thing, but Jay Z? I know with Elizabeth Arden’s backing, it’s sure to be something great (a la Britney) BUT I hope they’ll at least give it another name?
Yuck Jayz is ugly, beyonce is far from lucky .
