Honey I Washed the Kids

I usually find Lush products to be a total hit or miss. They’re either over the top smelly and I can’t even keep them in my bathroom or I totally love them and get super upset when I run out. Honey I Washed the Kids falls into the second category. I’m sorta in love with this soap. It’s made with honey and is incredibly moisturizing. It leaves my skin so soft and smelling slightly sweet. I use it after a particularly rough weather day and my skin always bounces back to normal. Sometimes the cold weather takes more of a toll on my skin then the hot weather and I find that this soap makes it all right again. I definitely recommend it for anyone who’s skin needs a little TLC. $7.75 at usa.lush.com

  • I've been meaning to try Lush. Is it available in stores?

  • I read that Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman's husband, loves LUSH products, particularity this soap and the Happy Hippy Shower Gel.

So, when I was in Venice recently I stopped into the LUSH store there (no LUSH here) to investigate. I picked-up the Honey I Washed the Kids soap (I sniffed the Happy Hippy Shower Gel, hoping to love it. Did not. I thought it was too abrasive.) To your point - I would agree, Lush can be a bit "hit or miss".

BUT I absolutely adore the soap scent, it's really incredible and it almost makes you CRAVE it. I do wish the scent would last a bit longer after use. My big problem with all LUSH soaps are the size and shape. It takes a few uses before you sort of work them into a comfortable size and shape.

My tip would be to always buy the smallest pre-cut piece on the pile (sold by weight, so there is no advantage to a larger piece.)
