Sensai by Kanebo

I received the Sensai Cellular Performance eye cream last month and finally got a chance to test it out for you beauties when I returned home from New York last week. Sensai is the high end line from Japanese skincare giant Kanebo and its latest line of skin care promises holistic anti-aging from one cell to another. The Japanese word "Sensai" evokes a world of fineness, delicacy, grace and calm, just like the girl I knew in Asia who was the Kanebo spokesmodel in the '90s. I still remember her face clearly and how she made me and my friends run for the Kanebo counter regularly hoping to capture some of her grace and beauty. The Sensai eye contour cream is luxuriously rich (one of the richest eye creams I have tried) but blends easily, quite perfect for the upcoming winter months. Made with extracts of the delicate purple Japanese orchid, Shilan, which has long been known for its healing properties. I liked that it had no fragrance or color so you won't risk irritating your eyes. $90 at Bergdorf Goodman.

I don't know if it's because her eyes are so hauntingly beautiful or because Gucci Westman is just damn talented but Jessica Stam looked amazing at Peter Som's show last month, I seriously could not stop staring at her!

Gucci Westman said she went for a Kate Moss-esque undone morning after make up with lots of mascara and a modern pink lip. She matched the girls' skin tones rather than using a bronzer and literally put the make up on and smudged it off in order to achieve the Chrissie Hynde tough chick look. The '60s lash was achieved with Gucci's favorite new mascara, the Courbe Virtuose in black. Lancome's Ombre glacee was added to the lids for a bit of iridescent sheen which was set off with light pink cheeks and pink lips that were a bit off.
