So I’m completely into the color blue for the fall. I’m finding tons of blue nail polish that I absolutely love, shades of navy are popping up all over the stores and I just found this fantastic NARS eyeshadow compact duo. We all know how great NARS is as a makeup company so I’m not going to preach about that. I will, however, talk about how fantastic these colors are and how excited I am to wear them. The silver is a normal slightly matte silver that goes on really smooth. The blue color is what really excites me about this. It’s a fantastic slate blue that is super complimentary. I have brown eyes and it really makes them pop so I can only imagine how great this color would look on someone with blue eyes. Layered together these two colors are amazing! NARS constantly amazes me with their ability to put exactly what I’m looking for right in front of my face! NARS duo – Underworld, $31 at Beauty.com NARS Duo Eyeshadow Compact, Underworld

I am actually stumped for a hint for our celeb of the day as anything I tell you will give her identity away immediately. Perhaps this was not a good choice but I used to like her until she started misbehavin'. There, that's your hint. This is an easy one. No tricks this time :) Leave your answer in comments. The best travel brush ever!

Post by Beauty Snob Michelle

Once upon a time I had a long-distance relationship. His job had him firmly planted in his town so to make things work it required me getting on a plane a lot. Over the course of many months I learned a lot about traveling (and how to put on makeup in the gross light of an airport bathroom). I also learned the hard way that your hair will not look good after a 4 hour flight if all you do is run your fingers through it. It will be flat and limp and defeated from the recycled air and the static inducing fabric on the seat covers. So I invested in a travel brush. No a crappy little five dollar CVS one, a real hairbrush that I would want to keep track of. I choose this Frederic Fekkai one. It’s a bit pricey, but I went with my sunglass theory (If I spend a little money I’ll feel invested in it and be extra careful and make sure it doesn’t break) and I haven’t regretted it once. This brush is magic, I’m convinced. A few brushes after a long flight and my hair begins to look normal again. It’s also handy to have a set of travel brushes as well as home brushes so you don’t loose them transporting them back and forth from bag to bathroom. $55 at Sephora. Frederic Fekkai Travel Brush

Zelens Cellular Reconstruction Cream

I reported on Zelens a few months ago but had not had a chance to try it firsthand even though I have been dying to. I finally got my hands on a jar of the Cellular Reconstructive Cream last week and the first thing that struck me was the beautiful packaging. Now this is how a $200+ jar of cream should be packaged; grosgrain ribbons wrapped around the jar made it feel more like a birthday gift than a beauty product! Yes, I know pretty packing does not make for a great cream but in this case, it actually does. The cream is ultra rich, almost indulgently so and it was like smoothing whipped butter on my face but it absorbed immediately, leaving no oily residue. The next morning my skin still felt incredibly soft and supple. It has a nice smell too, very fresh and clean as opposed to perfume-y. A week later and I am convinced that this is everything it claims to be. Why, you ask? Well, I had a small "accident" with an enzyme mask (from a company which will remain nameless), the concentration was too strong for my face and it left a small burn on the side of my cheek. I was completely panicked but kept applying the Cellular Reconstruction cream on it and a few days later it was as if it never happened! I am now officially a fan. As summer winds down you'll be needing a richer cream for the harsh winter months, you should definitely try this out. At Zelens.com

Lab Series Skincare for Men

Post by Beauty Snob Michelle

My theory about this next product is that my best guy friend uses them because they actually work, but more so because they don’t look like “products.” He’s a manly man who, even in this ever-accepting metro-sexual society, refuses to use any sort of fancy products. Then, one day I was in his bathroom and I found these. Lab Series Skincare for Men Oil Control Towelettes. I’m of the opinion that anything called a Towelette is definitely a “product” right ladies? Anyway, he supposedly swears by them. His girlfriend snuck them into his gym bag one day and he used them out of curiosity and was hooked! He says that they make his skin feel clean and have totally cut down on breakouts. They’re great to use at the end of the day because we live in a city and I shudder to think what ends up in our pores after a ride on the subway. There is minimal packaging so if you’ve got a product-shy guy, try introducing him to these. His skin will thank you for it! $15 at Sephora.com Lab Series For Men Oil Control Towelettes 30 Towelettes

Kiera for Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel is poised to undertake the largest tv marketing campaign in 15 years, according to WWD, Chanel plans to "blanket the market with images of Kiera in the most sweeping beauty campaign since signing on Nicole Kidman in 2004". Chanel will unleash an ambitious multilayered advertising and promotional campaign this week. The media blitz, which will continue to roll out through yearend, includes TV spots, print ads, outdoor advertising and an intensive online effort. The campaign marks the first time in 15 years that Chanel has bankrolled ads on national network TV.

I was invited to a cocktail party and screening of this short film at the Chanel Boutique and am greatly looking forward to it. The short was filmed by Jacques Helleu, Chanel's artistic director, who has helmed the imagemaking efforts at Chanel for more than four decades. I personally adore Kiera Knightly, especially in her first film "Bend It Like Beckham"! Chanel stated that Kate Moss' contract was coming to an end and they were looking for something different... and it had nothing to do with her many scandals. Yeah, sure. Look for Chanel's multi media blitz in a city near you!
