So I am getting ready for a trip home to Los Angeles (yay!) with my husband and son to visit family and friends, host Kelly’s baby luncheon and hopefully get some work done. I usually travel with my products, all of it. Yes, the entire 12 step nightly routine, the 10 step morning routine and everything I need in between. I’ve done this my whole life, anyone who has traveled with me will tell you I overpack and I travel at least every other month! I always go for extended trips, 10-17 days each time so I try to prepare for everything (this trip home is for 2 weeks) but I am finally ready to pack light. I saw Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative capsules and decided to try it out because packing 14 little capsules seem much easier than bringing my big jar of night cream or trying to determine 14 days worth of it and putting it in a travel jar. The capsules seem the solution for traveling and it keeps the cream from contamination by dirty fingers! So I tested it out this weekend and really like the precision of each little dose. By the way, this is great for keeping in your make up bag in case you want to moisturize on the plane! The price is also very reasonable, $68 at Nordstrom or Elizabeth Arden’s new online shop.
The cream itself felt nice and smooth on my face and neck, it is a re-formulated and supercharged version of the original complex capsules introduced in 1991 with the following ingredients:
Ceramides 1 & 6: Skin identical lipids to help strengthen and restore skin’s natural protective moisture barrier.
Linolenic acid: essential fatty acides to help maintain the integrity of skin’s lipid barrier for healthy looking skin.
Phytosphingosines: Ceramide precursor encourages skin to maintain optimal levels for a smoother firmer look.
Vitamin A Derivatives Retinyl Linoleate and Retinyl Palmitate: Help reduce the apperance of lines an dwrinkles. Enhance th skin’s own natural collagen to give skin a firmer look. Help improve skin’s clarity for a more even-toned appearance.
Borage Seed Extract: Powerful skin smoother.
Vitamin E: Provides antioxidant protection.

have you ever tried Prevage? It is supposed to have the highest antiaxidants according to Instyle beauty book. I thought I may wanna buy it soon, but I am also interested in Chantecaille and Natura Bisse, so I wonder what you think. Thank you
They sound great! I want to try it.
Great idea. Please try these for the entire trip if they are working for you and give us an update at the end. I would love to take small somethings like this with me when I travel, as I, too, unfortunately, have a major skin-care ritual!
Have fun in LA, we will be thrilled to have you here in our beautiful city.
I have used “Prevage MD.” It is the stronger version of “Prevage” that is sold exclusively to physicians. It has an okay reputation, but I get terrible breakouts with it and my skin NEVER breaks out! My dermatologist said that my complaint was NOT uncommon. I would not suggest you buy the Prevage unless you know you can return it.
Have you ever tried Skin Medica’s line? Their “TNS” is INCREDIBLE. It is sold at dr’s offices for $110, but you can get it on EBay for $80.00. I like it much better than Prevage as an anti-ageing, anti-oxident product-worth every single penny I paid for it.
I used to sell products to Plastic Surgeons and have seen a lot of skin care, but the TNS is very well respected in the physician community.
