Nivea Good-bye Cellulite Gel Cream

nivea.jpgDo you know what swimsuit models were slathering on during Miami Fashion Week this month? No, it was not self bronzer nor glitter dust. It was Nivea's Good-bye Cellulite gel! I received samples of it last week and have been diligently massaging it on my thighs, buttocks and lower belly every night. I wanted to give it a full week before giving you a report and I think I am starting to notice a difference! Its not that I am any thinner or have lost inches but the skin on my thighs, buttocks and tummy definitely look smoother. The products is made of L-Carnitine (amino acids found on the skin and in our liver and kidneys that help in the consumption and disposal of fat in the body) which they claim supports the conversion of fat into energy when applied on the skin.

This is not a miracle gel but I think with healthy diet and regular exercise this will enhance the appearance of your skin! Nivea Body Good-bye Cellulite Smoothing Cellulite Gel-Cream $11.69 at Drugstore.com

Post from Beauty Snob Nicole

Let me preface this review by explaining how I discovered this product, so please bear with me. Last Christmas I found myself at a loss for what to get for my brother’s girlfriend. Let me just say that she is impossibly stylish. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous (tall, thin, blond), but she’s been written up on Page 6. I mean come on, there was no way I was going to pick something out for her. Then I stumbled upon a page in a magazine, entitled something like a Stylist’s Arsenal. Basically all the tricks that Hollywood stylists use to make their clients look fabulous. Perfect!

I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this. One of those items was the Miss Oops sponge. As long as I was buying a set for her, I went ahead and ordered a set for myself. Well really, I did it to get free shipping. I’m a sucker for free shipping. Anyway let me tell you this is totally one of those products that you would never really think of, but then once you have it you can’t imagine how you ever lived without it. They remove deodorant, baby powder and powdered makeup from your clothes! I am totally obsessed! They are so handy, so small, so convenient and they completely live up to the claims. How many times have you been running out the door only to discover white marks or face powder or even worse, discover them after you’ve left. These are inexpensive (two for $10), so you can keep one in your purse, car, office, bathroom etc. And they come in a handy little plastic baggie that keeps other crud off the sponge. Genius!

This is truly an essential to keep every beauty snob looking fabulous!

Beam it up with Light Beam Lip Gloss!

rimmelbeamitup.jpg
I just discovered the most snobulous product, Rimmel London's Light Beam Lip Gloss! I wish it was available back in the day when I was club hopping from Hong Kong, LA, New York to London and back because it is totally genius. Why is it so genius you ask? Well, there is an LED light on the cap and a mirror on the vial so you can freshen up your lip gloss while riding in a cab on your way to a hot date or while waiting in line for the restroom at restaurants or nightclubs to save time! I do not recommend doing it at the dinner table though (I actually do not approve of putting on any kind of make up at the table, it's just tacky and I don't care who says it is acceptable, no one needs to be privy to your grooming habits while trying to have a nice meal).

The Light Beam Lip Gloss is available in six delish sheer shades: In the Mix: pale pink, After Hours: cherry red, Spotlight: pale purple, In the Limelight : gold, Disco Ball : clear with silver shimmer and Strobe Light : metallic silver.

rimmel3.jpgI got "In the Mix", it looked bright pink in the bottle but was subtle and pretty when applied and incredibly shiny which I love. I also love the slick and smooth texture of the lip gloss and can I just say again how convenient the little mirror is? The LED light is a bit unnecessary in my life as I am in bed by dark but for you young glamour girls partying til late at night, this is a must have in your make up bag! Rimmel Underground Light Beam After Dark Lip Gloss, In the Mix $11.59 at Drugstore.com with everyday free shipping!

UPDATE: Congrats to isakathoda for guessing that this is Jenny from the Block or aka Kelly's Idol. Please check your email for our congratulations email to retrieve your prize!
pop20.jpg
If you read our sites regularly you will know that this celeb is Kelly's idol and style icon. Kelly gets really upset when she shows up looking anything less than spectacular and often takes personal offense by writing lines such as "How could you do this to me?" There, that is your hint for the weekend. Any guesses? Leave it in comments. Game Rules here. Sponsored by Awake Cosmetics.

MAC Flashtronic & Rushmetal

IMG_1340.jpg

Wearing MAC's latest lines of metallic cosmetics, Flashtronics and Rushmetal, makes me feel like a rock star! My skin shimmers and glimmers as if I had spent hours under the sun and I just feel so glam. It looks totally flashy and scary bright in the bottle but was beautifully wearable on the skin! I tried out almost every color in order to find the most flattering tones on me and surprisingly most of the colors worked. My favorite is the Mineralized skin finish compact powder in Northern Light, the smorgasbord of pink, brown and rust colors looked the most natural though if you have darker skin, the Global Glow would be pretty too.

The Tinted Lip Glass is what you'd expect from MAC, fabulously glossy and ultra shiny, the way all lip glosses should be. Young Spark and Electro Lush are great neutral colors, it worked on me and our Tot Snob Editor, Jori. You must grab a tube before summer ends!

I also loved playing with the Mineralized Eye Shadows, it's a bunch of colors baked together so you can blend to your hearts content! We loved Quarry for its mix of sky blue with olive, coral and beige veining (Frost). MAC Flashtronic and Rushmetal available at MAC counters July 19th - Aug 20th. Get it while you can!
