The Shade of Innocence

I discovered another fabulous lightweight foundation in my quest for the "no make up" make up look(an oxymoron I know, but don't you appreciate the humor in it all?) the other day at Barneys. My Chantecaille real skin was scraped to the bottom and I was actually on my way to replace it but got distracted at the Chanel counter. There is just something very appealing about Chanel make up, I started using it in college and have since moved on to many other brands but the shiny black laquered compacts still hold incredible allure for me. A marketing director at Chanel once told me that Chanel cosmetics actually click a bit louder and crisper than other brands and it matters because women respond to that. Try it the next time you are at a Chanel counter, the lipstick closes with a very distinctive "click" as do the compacts. Anyhow, I was persuaded to try the latest and greatest foundation, "Teint Innocence", a very sheer and lightweight foundation that also evens out skintone. One swipe on the inside of my wrist (where you should try all your skincare and make up, in case of allergic reactions) and I was immediately smitten. Why you ask? Well, it disappeared into my skin and gave it a smooth and glowy appearance! I felt like I was as flawless as a baby's bottom so of course I had to bring it home with me. I got the Gentle Ivory but there are 13 shades for you to choose from. I've been using it for a few days and I love it! I feel like I look 10 years younger and yes, a shade more innocent :) You must try for yourself! $42.50 at Barneys New York and Neiman Marcus. (The only thing that annoys me is the lack of a pump dispenser like some of Chanel's other foundations)

  • BSTina:
I finally tried a sample of Double Perfection Fluide SPF 15 this weekend that I have had forever and I was amazed. No foundation has ever looked this good. How does the Teint compare?

  • hello.

Can you recommend me a sunblock for the face? I will be playing in the tennis team soon for my high school and I need sunblock! I have a bit of acne so that makes it so much harder to find a sunblock that doesn't make me break out more. I've been using Keihl's water based sunscreen but I don't really like it that well...

    Thanks!

  • Hi Coachwife, nice new blog! Good work!

As for the foundations, it depends on the level of coverage you'd like. I prefer the Teint Innocence as I like a dewy finish :)

  • Hi, I am a fan of Chanel comestic (and bags too). Currently, I am using the Blanc Essentiel whitening range, not sure if you have mentioned or tried this before. I apply the Whitening Modelling Effect Base first before putting on the Light Reflecting Whitening Powder Foundation with SPF 25. The end result is a natural and light dewy glow that lasts almost the whole day.

Due to the humid weather in Singapore, I do not typically like having heavy foundation on during the day. But I am intriqued to try this lightweight Teint Innocence.

  • I picked up Teint Innocence in Shell today and I LOVE it!!! Thanks for the tip :)
