I love asking people their favorite cheap thrill drug store beauty secrets, one friend told me about Olay Regeneris Eye Pods and I have to admit, I balked when I heard "Olay" (as in Oil of Olay, isn't that what little old ladies with blue hair used?). But I am currently at a beachside resort in Florida, swimming with my son all day (don't worry, I wear a two ft wide hat that covers my shoulders and LOTS of sunscreen even in the pool) and attending cocktails parties with my hubby and his friends every night. With very little sleep, my eyes are more than suffering. Having forgotten to pack my Carita eye contour masks, I went searching for something to take the puffiness away. I couldn't find Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, or even a Macy's where I am but I did manage to find Walgreens! I remembered my friend's advice to try Olay Regenerist Eye Pods and at $29 I figured I had nothing to lose but puffy eyes so I bought a box. It comes in 24 individual pods (so convenient for traveling!) and you're supposed to use it a few timse a week but I've been using it daily cuz I need the extra help and I have to say, I love it! It not only feels good when you apply it with the little sponge applicator, it actually makes the eye area all plump and dewy looking (and yes the puffiness is not as prominent)! You must try it for yourself and let me know what you think. At Walgreens.com $27.99 We're off to Orlando today to introduce my son to the wonderful world of Disney and hopefully I'll get some sleep then :)
By the way, I am horrified by the women I've seen around the pool and at the beach here. Remember that lady from "Something About Mary"? The super wrinkly, dried up, and tan woman who smoked cigarettes all day long while sunbathing? That's who I am surrounded by! It's a total beauty snob nightmare and I want to tell them all to read our website and learn about protecting their skin and health but my husband told me to mind my own business. Thank god I have you lovelies to gripe to!

welcome to my great state. :) there is NOWHERE to shop in the orlando area! good luck at disney world, it's a madhouse there!!
My 14-year-old son has puffy eyes and being in Junior High School is concerned about his appearance. (just wait -- LOL). I have tried many products: Chanel Eye Serum, etc., and none worked. He saw this advertised in one of my magazines and begged me to buy it. I did. He has used them for about three months now and it has been the only thing that has worked.
Speaking of the sun, can you recommend me a sunscreen for my face? I play tennis for my school so I need protection. I'm a bit acne-prone.
The Olay Regenerist eye cream is also miraculous. My friend, who is a makeup artist and gets samples for every eye cream, first recommended it--she has extreme puffiness in the eye area each morning, and nothing worked like the Olay. So I bought it--and it's amazing.
olay is the best stuff on the market - i use all the products - nothing works better - it doesn't make your skin break out - another great product is their pre-saturated disposable washcloths. you wet them and wash your face and then toss. my teenage daughter had monthly breakouts and since she has been using the olay wash cloths her skin has been clear.
Gen - I can recommend a superb sunscreen - Biotherm White Detox UV Extra SPF 50. It contains the sunscreen Mexoryl SX, which is a UVA and UVB sunscreen (you need to protect your skin from both to prevent premature wrinkling as well as sunburn). Having discovered this sunscreen about 2 years ago whilst travelling, I have used a pea sized amount on my face and another pea sized amount on my neck each and every day - rain, hail or shine - since then. It is not available in Australia so I buy it from an e-bay seller. It offers better sun protection than any other product I have used, and on top of that it doesn't irritate my acne-prone skin.
Oh my gosh. I totally love the Olay Regenerist Line! A few weeks ago when I went on vacation I left my face wash at home. So I ran to the near by drug store (only place open!!!) and picked up the Olay Regenerist cleanser – 4 days later I was totally impressed! So impressed that when came home I purchased the entire line – cleanser, thermal recontour and lift treatment with the lifting complex lotion, daily serum, UV defense lotion, targeted tone enhancer, eye pods and night moisturizing treatment. It has been about 2 weeks since I began and my skin has been smiling ever since – definitely my drug store cheap thrill!
