Bioelements Kerafole Mask

bioelements_Kerafole.jpg

I am going to go ahead and proclaim this to be the best mask out there. It is a deep exfoliating mask that penetrates deep into the skin and will detox your entire body. The ingredients are stuff like arctic algae, gingko and chamomile extracts, fruit acids and tea tree, lavender, lemon, orange and clove oils - all innocuous sounding but let me tell you, this is one powerful mask. It will tingle, to put it mildly, and make your face flush with all that it's doing. I got this from my aesthetician and used it religiously for months before my wedding to make sure we are all clear on the big day and everyone who witnessed it will tell you that my skin never looked better (of course I also got monthly facials and then bi-weekly facials for 2 months prior). I went to Las Vegas for my bachelorette party the weekend before the wedding against my aetheticians advise (apparently drinking and not sleeping are not good for the skin) but she insisted that I used the mask every night I was there to detox. There is no scientific proof to this claim but not only was my skin unaffected by the partying, I never got a hangover! She said it was from using the mask, the detox is so intense it flushed out all the toxins from the alcohol as well. I still use this on a regular basis and I will follow it with a clay mask and a deep moisturizing treatment. It's $45 and you have to get this from a salon or spa, which you can locate through the Bioelements website. You can also find it online but when I did a search I was unfamiliar with any of the stores so I am not sure how reputable they are.

Janice:

Dear Beauty Snob,

I am Chinese and I have combination/sensitive skin. I am going to Hong Kong in August and I am freaking out about how to treat my skin. Last time I was there in the summer I felt like my skin couldn't breathe and I broke out...it's too terrible to remember, but this time I want to be prepared. Do you have any suggestions about how to keep my skin balanced and clear in the humid Asian weather?

PS I love your blog, I read it everyday :)

Thanks a lot, Janice

Do they sell this in UK or in Singapore?? I just can't seem to find it ANY where... I really want to get this!

Kathryn:

This mask is the BEST! I'm a licensed esthetician and we used Bioelements in school...they have excellent products :)
