What a treat I have for everyone this week. My sweet friend, the beautiful Teresa Hill has agreed to share her beauty secrets with all of you! Some of you may remember her as one of the stars of the show "Models. Inc.", an Aaron Spelling production in the '90s. And you soap opera fans will definitely remember her as Eden of Days of Our Lives. If you've been wondering what this beauty has been up to since leaving the show, you'll get the scoop right here!
Beauty Snob: When did you start the interior design business and why did you give up acting?
Teresa Hill: It has been a passion of mine since I was a young Girl. While my girlfriends were shopping for clothes, I would save my hard earned babysitting money on wallpaper and furniture. My first paying Design Job was Decorating Andrew Lauren Productions office in West Hollywood. Then in 2001 I decided to move to NYC and go to Parsons School of Design. Now I have had my own business for over three years!
BS: Do you miss acting?
TH: Yes and no. I miss the craft but I do not miss the business side. I feel very fortunate that I am just as passionate about Design as I am about Acting. Luckily I love what I do so much that I feel completely creatively fulfilled running Teresa Hill Designs.
BS: What is your biggest beauty splurge?
TH: Every six months I buy a 6 pack of facials from Mario Bedescu!
BS: Beauty fixation (what are you obsessed with and why?)
TH: My skin is very oily which is a blessing and a curse. Because of the oil my face eats makeup. So I am always blotting and powdering. Recently I discovered smashbox photo matte. It takes away the shine without that powder build up.
BS: Beauty Icons (who inspires you?)
TH: My Mother, she taught me the importance of taking care of my skin at a very early age. Her skin is amazing!
BS: Edible Addiction that doesn't make you fat
TH: HA! But Salmon is great for the skin and I try to eat it once a week.
BS: Beauty Secret (tell us something that no one knows and that you have not disclosed to press)
TH: In the Winter I sleep with a Humidifier every night. When I wake up in the morning my skin is plump and dewy.
BS: Beauty Bible
TH: My own: 1. Sleep 2. Hydration 3.Plenty of fruits and veggies 4. Vitamins 5. Feel Good about yourself.
BS: Childhood Beauty ambitions
TH: I dreamt of having a tan body. Unfortunately I learned that my skin burns and can freckle if I don’t tan SLOWLY and use tons of sunscreen. I think I’ve achieved that tan once while on vacation in Sardinia Italy.
BS: Morning Beauty routine
TH: I spray my face with twinlab: Na-PCA and use Reviva:, Vit C Ester, Alph Lipoic Acid & DMAE cream. The cream soothes any sleep lines and puffiness in a few minutes. You can buy both at Health or Vitamin stores.
BS: Must have travel beauty items
TH: Water, Cream De la Mer, sunscreen and smashbox skin tint.
BS: You never leave the house without
TH: SUNSCREEN!!!
BS: Most memorable beauty disaster at work (tv or print)
TH: When I bleached my hair blonde for Twin Falls Idaho. I loved doing the movie but I did not look good in the bad bleach job!
BS: Favorite products of all time.
TH: Cream De La Mer and Reviva’s Vit C Ester, Alpha Lipoic Acid & DMAE cream.
BS: Flats or heels?
TH: I LOVE heels, esp. Manolo’s. But my feet love flats, I walk constantly in New York.
BS: What do you prefer, facials or massages?
TH: Massage, deep tissue or Shiatsu.
BS: Best Beauty Tip ever received.
TH: I once heard girl talk about Her beautiful 89 year old Aunt who said the best beauty secret is to wake up every morning, look at yourself in the mirror and say “I ADORE YOU!” and give yourself a big kiss!

I used to be OBESSED with Models INC. To this day i still grumble when someone brings it up because i'm so upset that we never got to see who got shot in the church in the last scene!!! I wanted more!! :)
Thanks for the Teresa Hill interview! Many of her beauty secrets are inspiring!
