What I'm about to share is kind of gross so skip to the next entry if you'd like. Ready? Still here? I only wash my hair twice a week. Yup, rain or shine, twice a week. But I swear it does not look dirty, just ask my friends! I brush it from roots to ends daily with the Mason Pearson brush my sweet friend Terry sent me and it distributes the oils in my hair and makes it look glossy. Is that gross? But I promise I am not one of those crazy smelly people who don't bathe, I just don't believe in washing my hair too often. It keeps my hair free of split ends and you should see how long and healthy it is! Some days I need a little boost and I use P2 refres H air Dry Clean Shine from Philip Pelusi. It's described as "Dry clean in an instant for time crunched people. Removes up to 50% of hair debris sans shower." and I can tell you it does exactly that. Everyone I told about it have bought it and all love it! Look for a distributor near you or call (412) 488-8951 Actually, my hair is a bit too long and I can't wait to see Philip tomorrow in New York for a haircut!! He takes appointments only on Thursdays and Fridays in New York, 212 463 8213, you will seriously get the best haircut of your life!
Here's how it goes down:
Day 1- Straight and shiny hair blown dry
Day 2- Hot rollers (did you know hair curls better when it's a bit dirty?) BabyLiss is my favorite- all giant rollers and none of the tiny annoying rollers that are useless.
Day 3- Ponytail or the Stepford wife "half up" if curls from day before have not completely fizzled.
Day 4- Shampoo!

How much does Philip Pelusi charge for a haicut?
Thanks.
Please tell us how your cut went! I lived in Pittsburgh for many years and went to his salons. I had the pleasure of meeting Philip during one of his Training Academy evenings and he "assisted" the junior stylist doing my hair. Best damn haircut of my life. Glad to see he is getting more national recognition!
It's not strange at all! I don't wash my hair every day and wish I could go longer between shampoos. My sister is a hair stylist and is constantly yeling at me to not wash my hair as much. If you color your hair it preserves it and it saves time too! :) Thanks for the product tip! I use Bumble + bumble hair powder to help me get through to the next shampoo.
I have been trying to wash my hair less often but the problem is that it is so gross and sweaty after I work out! I am curious to know what your fitness regimen is, and if you have any tips for avoiding said gym hair.
i wish i could get away with this, because i know it's so much better for your hair... unfortunately i have naturally curly/wavy hair, and when it isn't "fresh" it just looks stringy and sad.
hahaaa.. omg, i thought i was the only one with undisciplined hair washing routine.. i do exactly the same... gosh..it sounds gross on paper, but it isnt that bad really!! plus, the pony tail/ stepford trick's always effective in disguising the "contaminated" hair.. :)
SOS!!!
I have dandruff/oily hair and am in desperate need of a new hair care product! I just realized Pantene has been giving me all those break outs on my back (grrr...). Anws, I've used Bumble & Bumble at my spa and loved it but have also heard really good things about Frederic Fekkai's products. I'm not sure which to buy, what do you guys think?
