This week's Beauty Profile is our favorite soy latte guzzling, stiletto heel wearing, girl about town, Kristopher Dukes! We absolutely adore Kristopher's sultry writing style and see her as our little sister Snob (she's only 22 and has been published since she was 16!) So kick back, grab a soy latte and oh la love your way to fabulousness!
When did you start the blog and why?
I started blogging on KRiSTOPHER DUKES .com in February 2006. More than digging blogging as a means of self-publishing, I ooh la love having virtual soy latte and shopping dates with you boss ladies. (From Beauty Snob: Aww, right back at you doll face!)
What do you spend on beauty products each month?
Thanks for reminding your K that she ought to do that math. I'd imagine it varies. What it takes to carefully dishevel my hair and smoke out my eyes daily probably falls somewhere between $150-300.
Beauty fixation (what are you obsessed with and why?)
You may have noticed by now that I'm obsessed with smoky eyes. Piles of black eyeshadow and three coats of mascara, rocked with glossy nude lips, has been my formula for face since high school.
Beauty Icons (who inspires you?)
I love Mia Farrow as Daisy in The Great Gatsby; I also used to adore Twiggy. Both are so mignon, right? I've a thing for It girls from the 1920's and 1960's. I dig gorgeous, wide-eyed waifs.
Edible Addiction that doesn't make you fat
Forget Atkins, wave tah-tah to South Beach - join me on my soy latte diet instead, dolls.
Beauty Secrets (tell us something that no one knows and that you have not disclosed on your site)
Pretty promise you won't tell, love? I'm obsessed with CoverGirl's Outlast lipstick. I hate touching up my face, and it lasts nine to five, five to nine, all through your hustling hard and playing smart.
Beauty Bibles
Besides the good word of Vogue? If I didn't know you were a sweet, chic soul, I might smell blasphemy.
Childhood beauty ambitions
I've always wanted bright blue eyes - I adore how light eyes look against dark hair. And rimmed with smoky eyeliner. I may pull a Paris and just faux it with contacts.
Morning Beauty routine
I get my groom on starting with sudsing up my face and rubbing in oil-free moisturizer. Then I smooth on Paul & Joe's dual powder foundation - SPF25 and easy coverage, 'cause I like my skin porcelain. Next I smoke out my eyes with Stila's "Ebony" eyeshadow - it's the blackest black - , wetting one of my Too Faced makeup brushes and using it as eyeliner as well. Then I crimp my lashes, and slide on Lancome's "Hypnose" mascara - repeat that at least twice, probably thrice. I blush my cheeks rosy, slip on some CoverGirl Outlast - my secret's out - and voila, love.
Must have travel beauty items
My must haves when I weekend?
- Paul & Joe dual powder foundation
- Black eyeshadow
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
- Moisturizer
- Too Faced teddy bear makeup brushes

hey, would just like to share something :) i'm taking a biology class this semester (yes, i'm in uni :P), and excessive soy products were highly discouraged to young adults by our professor. i forgot why, but its for health reasons :)
excessive soy products contain a high amount of uric acid, which is bad if taken in excess.
Say it ain't so, K to the 3. Crying into my soy latte, though I'm smiling at being featured on Beauty Snob. Thanks for the love, ladies.
^k, that said, I still really love soy products. I'm a hardcore tofu/beancurd fan, soy milk is a staple and soy lattes are fabulous!!! Really enjoyed reading this!
Hey beautysnobs Tina and Kelly, I'm a guy and I've got several acne scars that are bothering me. I would like to get a product that can effectively lighten and remove the scars as they're really getting to me... Any products that are affordable (i'm in college)?? I do use Dermalogica currently.
have you tried mederma for scars? I dont have acne scars but i do use an occasional spot treatment called Effeclar A.I. by La Roche Posay that is supposed to help with the healing and scarring of pimples while it reduces the size and redness of them (its about 20$)
You are the second person who I have heard vouch for CoverGirl's Outlast lipstick. Laura on Project Runway said she has worn the same CG lipstick for 20-plus years. How do you make lipstick last 8 hours? I can't get it to stay on for more than 20 minutes. I have tried everything: lining it, different brands (Lancome, ELauder, Chanel is my newest test) and I can't get it to stay. I will try this. The price is definately better, that's for sure. Loved your column. Thanks for taking the time and I iwll bookmark it along with all the other wonderful blogs that BS has brought our way.
