I never thought I'd end up in Texas. I was born in Taiwan and raised for the most part in Potomac MD, moved to Los Angeles to attend USC and traveled around the world for almost 10 years after graduation. I moved to Dallas when I married the love of my life but was convinced I'd never fit in Texas. One day, my husband dropped me off at a place called North Park Mall, and as I entered the cosmetics department at Neiman Marcus, I knew I was home. It is an oasis for beauty junkies with the most incredible energy! Women here love their cosmetics and are not afraid to show it! Those of you who have been there know what I am talking about, there is really no other department store like it (they sell more make up per sq. ft than anywhere in the world!), not even the cosmetic department at Saks in New York has the hustle and bustle of North Park Neiman Marcus. I go there often as they seem to receive the latest and greatest before anyone else. Today I happened upon the YSL counter and saw the most adorable lipstick called Lip Twins. It has a little lip brush attached with lipstick and gloss in the double compact that you flip around. So cute and so fun! My favorite is the Sparkling Beige, will be the perfect complement to use with my bronzer this summer. $30 at Neiman Marcus

Love the look of the LipTwins. Don't have a Neiman Marcus close by, but it will be fun seeing if I can find the YSL products elsewhere. It's all in the hunt! ;)
I too have been recharged by the cozy atmosphere of the NM cosmetics department at NorthPark. It is one of my favorite places in the world and have always found the best products there by people who truly believe in providing the best.

My friends and I go to Neiman's North Park on a regular basis for makeovers and facials and there is never any pressure to buy (although we always do). They totally indulge us and treat us to a delightful afternoon or evening. I have tried (and loved) makeup that I wouldn't have ever even considered.
And it really doesn't matter what counter you are at (although Laura Mercier is my favorite!!) They don't discriminate based on your appearance. I am not a fashionista and they treat me with as much respect as anyone else.
Yes I too Love North Park Mall.. The whole mall is amazing.. We have a house in Frisco.. so this mall is a must when we are in Texas.
And I also love the fact that they have Barneys , it reminds me of NYC ( home beautiful home).
Ysl has always been one of my fav prestige beauty brands..
