Park Place Princess set from Bare Escentuals

i just bought the bare escentuals spf foundation and i'm really liking it so far. do you think that the mineral veil is really necessary when using the foundation? i asked the saleswoman and she said unless i'm having problems with it staying "set," to not worry about getting the mineral veil. do you agree?

Sorry to bother you two beauties. I do have a question regarding Bare Escentual, which I think only you guys can help me with.

Do you find the Bare Escentual foundation a bit yellow? I am an Asian, but I am quite fair. I already bought the fairly light shade, but I still find that I look a quite yellow after I put on the foundation. One of my friends told me she has similar problem, and we suspect that the foundation has very strong yellow base. Just wonder if you guys have the same problem? Do you have any idea how this can be resolved? (Bare Escentual girls were telling me it's not yellow and I should use a even darker shade, but Sephora was telling me it is too yellowish for me)

I have very sensitive skin and I am allergic to most of the foundation on the street (apart from Chantecaille's Future Skin, Lola's pressed power - not liquid foundation and Prosays - it's a new Japanese foundation, it's amazing you guys may want to check this out!). I found the texture of the Bare Escentuals really great and it's natural (yeah trying to be focusing on the "organic & natural skin products), but I look really yellow even with the light shades.... so I wonder if you can kindly advise me on what to do with the Bare Escentual stuff....

Anyhow, thanks for the great blogs - i love your beauty snob and bag snob blogs - am really addicted - as i have been a beauty junkie and bag fanantic since i was young!! bags and beauty products are my clear addiction...

First, Kamo- I use the mineral veil only when I am taking photos or going out at night. It provides a velvety finish without that cakey powder look. And in photos, it looks really natural and keeps me from looking shiny or greasy.

Second- Karen, I am Chinese and I NEVER use yellow based foundation because it makes us more yellow!!! I don't use the bare escentuals foundation but I love the cheek colors, shadows, and mineral veil. Perhaps you can stick with your own foundation and use all their other stuff. I love the way it feels on my skin, too! Have you tried Chantecaille real skin? I keep it handy for quick touch ups.

Thanks so much for your kind and prompt reply! It's so comforting having you guys around to solve our issues.

I used to use Real Skin before, but then I don't put on foundation all that often, so I am currently just using the Future Skin.

I am sure you guys will be writing about these down the road.. but do you mind sharing with us your favourite make up base and concealer for under eyes dark cirlce (& eye cream if possible...)

My favourite make up base is Lola, and concealers are YSL Touche Radiant, Fresh concealer and Chantecaille Bio-lift concealer...
