Backstage Beauty at Fashion Week

user-pic

I am a bit surprised at the lack of color shown on faces for Fall. Gone are the shimmering glosses (but I will never give up my Awake or Fresh lipglosses) and blush seems to be so 'last season'. Hair is slicked back and severe, not the most flattering with a nude face. Here are a few looks shown so far this week, judge for your self and let me know what you think:
lucaface07.jpgLuca Luca: Matte nude face and pale lips with heavy smoky eyes. Not a look for everyone, especially if you are over 18 and have any kind of creases on your face. I am a lover of blush, especially Dandelion by Benefit, as it never hurts to have a healthy flush to the face.dandelionbenefit.jpg

jovovichhawkbeauty.jpgJovovich Hawk: Eyes overlined in blue liner and framed in blue eyeshadow spells trailer trash, especially when paired with crimsom lips. Can I say again that I don't like the matte faces being shown for fall? It makes everyone look old, even models not old enough to drink the champagne they're guzzling backstage.

oscarbeauty.jpgOscar de la Renta: His beautiful clothes deserved faces to match. I had a strong urge to give these girls a tube of Natura Bisse eye gel and to smear some blush and mascara on their faces. I am a fan of the "no make up" make up look but it should at least look pretty don't you agree?

tulehbeauty.jpgTuleh: I liked the natural look at Tuleh the best so far. The girls' natural coloring and features were enhanced without overpowering their faces. Ruby hued lips also complement a nude face and made the models look alive.

I'll be sharing more backstage beauty from the runways as the week progresses so keep your fingers on the keyboard and click back often!
