SK-II Radiance and Moisture boosting mask

Asian women are beauty obsessed, we pride ourselves on good skin and even though our Caucasian friends claim we're genetically blessed we know the secret is maintenance maintenance maintenance. Yeah, make fun of us as we walk down the street with our parasols in 100 degree weather, who's laughing when we're 60 and wrinkle free? My whole life I've had Chinese aunties and grandmothers give me beauty tips, "No wrinkling your brow!" "Eat more bitter melon!" "Eat Pig feet make you pretty!" "Eat Chicken butt make you beautiful!" "Stay away from sun!" "Wear sunscreen!" "Don't get too skinny, look like boy!" "Drink tea after dinner, no get fat!" Some I took to heart, some I just ignored (trust me, I never ate chicken butt). One of my absolute favorite tips came from my aunt, a heavy duty emergency skin saver, the SK-II Radiance and Moisture boosting mask (pronounced SK 2- don't ask me why the Japanese do what they do when naming products). I first tried it while pulling all nighters in Asia as an MTV Asia VJ in the '90s (and it wasn't work related unless you call partying with the Spice Girls work :). Two hours of sleep a night? No problem! I always showed up on the set with bright and glowing skin. The mask looks kind of scary and intimidating when you pull it out of the package (not to mention it's all gooey and sticky) but I swear, 20 minutes with this baby on your face and you will have skin like a baby. Available exclusively through Saks Fifth Avenue in the US and at major department stores in Asia. $140 USD

UPDATE- also available at Bloomingdales!

  • I bought SK-II from the Bloomingdale's in NYC and got a free mask with my purchase, and now I can't wait to try it!

  • You must let me know how you like it! What product did you buy? I am glad to hear Bloomingdales is carrying SK_II as well!

  • I've used the SK-II range for years, and absolutely couldn't live without it now. Brook , London

  • do you know if sk2 products are cheaper in hk? just wondering if i should ask my friend to send them to me or should i just get them here myself.

  • Hi Suwa

I think with the exchange rate it is about the same. You might as well get it here so you don't have to wait :) You might save 5 dollars getting it overseas.

  • Does SK-II have any other products you'd recommend? I've become obsessed with my skin lately...

  • on a completely unrelated and random note.. chicken butt taste great!! hah it's my all time favourite part!!

  • I've just got the air touch foundation 2 days ago and it is incredible!! I've never imagined myself or my husband paying $150 for a foundation, but after I put it on at the counter, I had to have it and my husband saw a dramatic improvement of my skin that he also agreed I should get it, it's worth every $. It instantly made my face/skin look like a teenager and I'm 31, my skin looked so young (like when I was 14), fresh and FLAWLESS, NO PORES! A week earlier I bought Prescriptives CustomBlend after reading the good review from Beautysnob, but nothing will even come close to being perfect like the SK-II air touch foundation! I would like to see more reviews of SK-II PLEASE!!! (I'm thinking of getting more of their products soon)
