Awake STARDOM Mascara

I know I seem like I'm lash obsessed, (I am!) but I had to share my favorite mascara with everyone. I discovered it at Bergdorf Goodman about 3 years ago and have been using it ever since (along with 2 other mascaras I will talk about later, and yes, I layer it all on top of each other. Just call me Tammy Faye but I don't care, it's all about mascara for me)

The Stardom mascara by Japanese cosmetic giant AWAKE is absolutely brilliant. Why you ask? Well, it's two sided, one side is the "base" that thicken your lashes and add length with tiny little fibers. The other side is a comb with water resistant mascara to water proof your lashes (I don't always use this side, only at night when I go out). Usually lashes get gloppy and messy with the fibers but the comb allows you to comb it all out! It is always sold out so I really shouldn't be sharing this with you but I've been buying this it bulk so I am not too worried :)

$26 at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus

  • It's also available at beauty.com!

I love their Aqua Trans Powder as well!

  • Thanks for this information. I JUST got a card of someone who does lash extensions this weekend and was considering it. Now I will just pass. My lashes are short/thin enough already, I don't have any to lose.

  • thanks! do you have any recommendations for undereye circles? if so, hopefully you'll be able to feature it soon. :-)

  • Ok, I just got this mascara. All I can say is goodbye Lancome! It's totally fab. Ladies, thanks for your recommendations.... I fear I am going to buy every single of one of your recommended products.

  • I just got mine from Beauty.com and it's the best mascara I've ever used! Like, tkmama, I fear I will also be buying all of your recommendations!

  • Has anyone tried the optic force mascara under the Awake Stardom line? Is it new than the stardom mascara? And more importantly is it better?
I went to Bendel's to buy the stardom mascara after all the recommendations but left with the optic force instead (it is also two sided so I got confused) Would it be worth exchanging it?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Isabel

Optic force mascara is just as good! Or you can try the latest from Awake, Sidelong mascara, it has an extra tiny brush on the tips for the side lashes.

Sadly, the Awake stardom mascara is being discontinued... so I guess I have to buy the company :)

  • Thanks Beauty Snob!

I am actually quite impressed with the Optic Force (apparently it replaced the original two-sided stardom mascara you love so much). It does a great job at curling the lashes with this weird M or W shaped brush and it stays put like a fool. I am quite impressed which is really something because for me, like you Beauty Snob, it's all about the mascara. I'd rather leave the house naked than without mascara! I didn't think there was anything I didn't know about mascara until I happened upon this blog...

    Thanks for the tips!

    Isabel
