For the little girl in all of us!

I love sparkles as much as the next girl, but as I’ve grown up, I’ve learned that there’s a time and place for everything. It’s not appropriate for me to waltz into a meeting with pink sparkly makeup surrounding my eyes. (And as I look back on pictures of myself from college I wonder, was it ever appropriate to wear pink sparkly makeup?) Smashbox has the grown-up answer to sparkles. They’ve paired with illustrative artist Simone Legno, creator of Tokidoki (an anime company) to create a whole makeup line exclusively for Sephora.

My favorite from this line is their Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion. It’s a lightweight pale gold lotion with just the slightest hint of pink in it. It highlights bone structure and leaves your skin with a healthy glow. It can be mixed in with your favorite foundation or lotion or used on its own. I like wearing it on my cheeks and around my eyes for everyday use. It helps with the dull paleness that my skin turns to in the winter. (I refuse to fake and bake!! Refuse!!) It's also a rare makeup that can transition from day to night so easily, but the glow it gives your skin is visible and catches the eye in even the dimmest of bar lights. Avaliable at Sephora for $22 Smashbox Tokidoki Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion
